In addition to the Grands-Montets ski resort located a 500-m walk from the chalets, the Chamonix Valley offers all year long many cultural and sports activities.
In summer, the sports practiced are mostly related to the mountains. Chamonix is very famous for its skiing and its hiking trails in the mountains. Notably, the Tour du Mont-Blanc (TMB) which is one of the most popular long-distance hiking trails in Europe. Rock climbing can be practiced on many sites and in particular on the Rock climbing Gaillands, mountain biking, paragliding are also practiced and other activities are proposed, such , rafting, "Luge d'été", accrobranches climbing trees and pony rides in "le Paradis des Praz". Chamonix owns a golf course, a swimming pool, a skating-rink and eight tennis courts.
In winter, skiing is practiced in the Chamonix Valley (downhill skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing and ski touring), snowshoeing, dog sled rides.
All year round you may enjoy an helicopter tour, visits to the Montenvers, the Mer de Glace and the Aiguille du Midi,
